Designed in Canada.
Made for good living.
Each step towards sustainability is an opportunity to better ourselves. We believe that when we all act on our promises, we can live in a cleaner, healthier and more mindful world where human progress is in harmony with the planet.
How it all started
Back in February of 2012, long-time friends Hicham and Ethan, alongside a small group of passionate creatives launched Frank And Oak in what was originally a kitchen. From that humble space, they solidified the foundations of our brand. Frank And Oak has never stopped growing since, both as a company and as a team. Though some argue that one should always look to the future, reflecting on our past has helped us strengthen our vision and ethics. The devastating impact of climate change has made us conscious that we all have an active role to play in our collective future. Today, we are more than ever committed to fighting for our planet and will continue to set an example as best we can by offering better sustainable products.
The Frank And Oak team
While style is an expression of the individual, the common necessities of daily Canadian living shapes our relationship with style in significant ways. We design products that are made to last with the highest standards to keep up with our demanding lifestyles, while ensuring minimal impact on the planet we love.
We strive to adopt ethical business practices across the company in order to minimize our environmental impact and preserve the future of our planet.
We think it’s important to make information, reflections and decisions available to all.
By designing with purpose, we create innovative products that have a lighter footprint and an increased life span.
Our sustainability goals
There is no time left to ignore climate change. The more carbon we let out into the atmosphere, the faster our planet warms up. That’s why we’ve committed to selecting better materials, better factories and better shipping methods to maximize the reduction of our carbon emissions. Here’s what’s planned for 2022:
Removing virgin plastic from our supply chain
Cut all virgin plastic out of our supply chain by using only recycled polyester bags, removing excess shipment packaging and maximizing our recycled raw materials.
Removing virgin polyester from our supply chain
Aim to use 100% recycled polyester fibres in all of our fabrics.
Implementing more carbon offset Programs
Increase our collaboration with local and international partners focused on reforestation to reduce and offset our carbon emissions.
Raising our use of renewable energies
Increase our usage of renewable energies across our headquarters, warehouse and new stores.
Encouraging zero waste inside and out
Continue to reinforce our zero-waste policy within the company by supplying reusable materials and increasing company initiatives.
Mighty oaks from little acorns grow
It only takes one tiny spark to turn a meaningful idea into an impactful pursuit. Today, we are a group of 300 people from over 20 different countries. Sharing our optimism and embodying our values is our job, but it is also a reflection of our true selves. We stand together on what’s important. Here are a few throwbacks to some of our achievements:
